Hailing from Wichita, Kansas, Les has been a mainstay on the Pacific Northwest's regional blues scene for over two decades. He is one of only a handful of "true blues” upright bass players around. A true musician's musician, Les lays down a rich sounding solid blues groove while delighting the audience with his showmanship…a complete artist in every sense of the word. He is also an original member, along with Jim King, of the long running jump swing band "The Nightsticks”. Les has been honored by the Washington Blues Society as winner of the BB Award for "Best Bass”, in 1996, 2006 and 2007. Les White is also a luthier and the proprietor of The Honeytone Bass Clinic, a violin repair shop that specializes in upright bass.
